Webflow has a built in backup and restore system for your projects.
In a pinch, it can help you out of sticky situations, but before you restore a project, make certain you are aware of the limitations.
Limitations
Problems with Restore
CMS Item ID's Change
On a restore, all of your CMS Item ID's will be changed. If you have an external integration that relies on them, this can be a significant issue to resync your external system with your site.
User Accounts Access Groups Disappear
I haven't experienced this however one forum report indicates;
- All access groups are deleted in a restore
- You cannot re-add them through the designer due to a bug, and must use the API instead

To Research
Use cases;
- Revert the project entirely
- Access previously deleted design elements, so that they can be copied and pasted into your active live site
- Access previously deleted CMS data, so that it can be exported, and imported into your active live site
Questions;
- Can you re-restore to a newer project version
- Can you restore to a new, separate project
