Sygnal’s team is working an average of 20 to 50 projects at any given time, with constant requests for small changes from our regular clients.
This means that one of the most time consuming daily efforts is just getting places- finding the right Webflow designer link, timesheet, quote, project notes document, Jira project, Google drive folder, and so on and so on.
Frankly, it’s exhausting, and it can even lead to mistakes like editing the wrong project.
To help our team manage that, we built a simple tool called QuickNav.
What is QuickNav?
Simply put, it’s a Chrome browser extension that uses the browser URL bar to shortcode URLs.
Type;
q acme wf
I'll get the current Webflow project for ACME.
q acme wfw
Will open the Webflow workspace.
And I can take this as far as I want with as many shortcodes as I want.
q acme ts | ACME’s timesheet |
q acme gd | ACME’s google drive |
q acme wf blog | Opens ACME’s Webflow designer, but to the Blog collection page |
q acme jira | ACME’s Jira project |
q s hot | Sygnal’s hot projects list, in Airtable |
Thousands of client/project/tool combos.
I did it for the same reason, I can't find the thing I need quickly enough.
How it works
Everything is stored in a Google Sheet, so the entire team has access to the same shortcuts.
The sheet must be “accessible to anyone with the link”, but you control who can edit it, and you decide the code structure to use.
Anytime you guess a code wrong, the spreadsheet will simply open so you can find it, or add a new shortcode.
Pro tips
Standardize your shortcodes
[project] [tool]
[project] [tool] [facet]
For the project, use short, meaningful client or project names.
For the tool, use abbreviated platform names.

I've just appstored it a week ago - it might help.
- If you use Chrome and struggle to manage your hundreds of links. this might be for you.
- If you have 100s of tabs open, this might be for you
- If your teammates keep asking “can you send me the link for X,” this might be for you.
We hope it helps you as much as it’s helped us.
